When police released the name of the officer who killed Michael Brown, they also released stills of surveillance footage that shows someone matching Michael Brown’s description robbing a Ferguson convenience store moments before he was killed.

The images show a thug who looks a lot like Michael Brown walking into the store and grabbing a clerk by the neck. Police were called about the “strong armed” robbery at 11:51 am, and Officer Darren Wilson was sent to the scene.

According to The Daily Mail, Wilson met Michael Brown as the latter walked with a friend on a nearby street at 12:01 pm. When the officer confronted the young men, one of them pushed Wilson back into his squad car and a struggle ensued. Shots were eventually fired, and Brown was killed.

While it is unclear whether the man in the footage is actually Brown, the images do show that the young man at the very least closely resembled the robbery suspect.
