A vacationing gym teacher came upon a remarkable sight as he walked along a Turkish beach. On a beach in Dikili, near the Aegean city of Izmir, the body of a two-headed dolphin had washed ashore. It was just a baby, only measuring about 3 feet in length. It had died at sea before washing ashore.

A two-headed dolphin is an extremely rare occurrence, like conjoined twins. Turkish scientists plan to study this specimen.
