International Outrage Over This ‘Racist’ Birthday Gift Given To Obama

Recent polls have shown that Americans hold little regard for Obama, and we all know he isn’t exactly well-respected by those from foreign countries either. Vladimir Putin has consistently made Obama look like a weakling during his time in office, which has not helped the President’s reputation with the Russians.
On Monday, in celebration of Obama’s 53rd birthday, a Russian group had a unique gift for him. They put together a little laser show, which was beamed onto the side of the Russian Embassy in Moscow. The hilarious light show depicted Obama as a monkey, eating a banana and wearing a party hat.
A student activist group called Moscow Student’s Initiative has claimed responsibility for the little prank. They describe themselves on their social media profile pages as “an art group, a circle of common interests, activists, students, patriots.” The are also reported to be the culprits behind a banner that was hung near the U.S. Consulate Building in Moscow. The artwork on the banner depicted Obama with monkey-like features, as the laser show did.
Many are calling this racist, being that a black man was shown as a primate. Although, it’s more likely that the Russian group was referring to Obama’s capabilities as being monkey-like, regardless of his skin color. If you recall, George Bush was at times made to look like a monkey in charicatures by those who were fed up with his Administration.
As reported by NY Daily News:
The stunts come as relations between Russia and the U.S. have reached their tensest level in decades — as President Obama continues to mount economic sanctions against Russia in response to the country’s ongoing aggression against Ukraine.
