As you may know, the verdict is still out, and audiences are split, on whether or not Tony Stewart was involved in a terrible accident or let his ego, and temper, get the better of him. As for at least one person who was there, and also happened to be friends with Stewart’s victim, Kevin Ward Jr., he’s saying the NASCAR driver needs to be behind bars for life.
According to Ward’s friend, Tyler Graves, “Tony Stewart needs to be put in prison for life.”
News of Saturday night has spread nationwide after Stewart hit and killed a driver who he’d just run off the track. According to Graves, “Tony pinched him into the front-stretch wall, a racing thing. The right rear tire went down, he spun on the exit of (Turn) 2. They threw the caution and everything was toned down. Kevin got out of his car. … He was throwing his arms up all over the place at Tony for most of the corner.”
Graves went on to say, “I know Tony could see him. I know how you can see out of these cars. When Tony got close to him, he hit the throttle. When you hit a throttle on a sprint car, the car sets sideways. It set sideways, the right rear tire hit Kevin, Kevin was sucked underneath and was stuck under it for a second or two and then it threw him…”
As we’ve previously reported, investigations are still underway and no criminal charges are imminent.
