The Left is at it again with their ridiculous attempt to ban anything that looks like, sounds like, or smells like a gun. This time, school officials suspended a 9-year-old boy for bringing his Nerf gun to school for show and tell. The horror!

Ramsey McDonald, a fourth-grade student at Miller Elementary School, never would have brought the toy to school if he had known that administrators would find it so offensive. His father, Scott McDonald, told the local news station:

“They told me my son brought a weapon to school and they asked me if I was aware. I asked them what it was and they said it was a plastic Nerf gun.”

As you can imagine, Mr. McDonald was shocked that his son’s school would have such a problem with the toy. He was even more flabbergasted when they told him what the punishment would be.

After some negotiation, McDonald was able to get his son’s punishment reduced to a three-day in-school suspension, which is still absurd. Luckily, the media attention surrounding the ordeal has caused Houston School Superintendent Mark Scott to reevaluate the manner in which the situation was handled. He will be meeting with Mr. McDonald to discuss exactly that.
