Face-Palm Moment: Joe Biden Refers To Africa As A Country

Gaffe king Joe Biden has made yet another idiotic remark. During the U.S.-Africa Business Forum on Tuesday, he referred to Africa as a country, not a continent.

In front of 50 world leaders, Biden said:

“If Africa’s governance and institutions can put its people in a position commensurate with their possibilities, the sky is the limit. I mean, it is limitless. There’s no reason the nation of Africa cannot and should not join the ranks of the world’s most prosperous nations in the near term, in the decades ahead. There is simply no reason.”

This coming from the man who once chaired the U.S. Senate Committee on Foreign Relations.

To be clear, Africa is not a nation. It is a continent made up of 54 separate countries.

Biden’s gaffe has mostly stayed out of the headlines, as it has been upstaged by other news about the regrettable Vice President. Ron Kessler’s bombshell new book, The First Family Detail, was released yesterday, and it exposes a few skeletons which Biden would have much rather kept in his closet. Here at Mr. Conservative, we reported on some of the scandalous behavior detailed in Kessler’s book, including the fact that Biden enjoys skinny-dipping in front of female Secret Service agents.

Obama’s three-day U.S.-Africa Leaders Summit has come under fire this week as the President has neglected to put any talks of human rights issues on the agenda. Before African countries can progress, they will need to make a collective effort to end genocide and stop raping everything that moves. However, Obama has been notably silent on these issues. You would think that he’d use the largest gathering of African leaders ever held by a United States President to focus on human rights issues, being that they are most the prevalent threats to the welfare of Africans, but not Barack Obama! He’s got expensive dinners to throw!

At a glitzy White House dinner this evening, Obama will honor the African leaders who have attended the Summit. That’s right, your tax dollars will be spent to give a pat on the back to foreign leaders who have condoned the murder of Christians, the rape of women and children and the use of child armies, just to name a few of the injustices.

Biden’s constant gaffes have contributed heavily to the Obama Administration’s laughable reputation. Let us know what you think of the Vice President’s latest face-palm moment in the comments section.
