An Afghan court sentenced a young man to just 7.5 years in prison after he was convicted of killing three United States Marines.
As reported by Rare:
In August 2012, Cpl. Richard A. Rivera, Staff Sgt. Scott E. Dickinson, and Lance Cpl. Gregory T. Buckley Jr., were working out at the gym on a military base in the Helmand province in Afghanistan. Ainuddin Khudairaham, an aide to the Afghan Police Chief for the base, entered the gym and opened fire, killing the three men and wounding another soldier.
Greg Buckley Sr., the father of Lance Cpl. Gregory T. Buckley Jr., spoke to Fox News about the ruling on his son’s murderer:
“He’ll be out in four years because he already served two, but I’ll never have my son back again… I’m just trying to find the right answers. I’m just looking for help.”
The military has released very little information regarding the circumstances surrounding the triple murder, which has only served to twist the knife in Buckley’s chest. He added:
“My family has been after them every day, asking questions and they keep on stonewalling us every time we ask something. They keep on calling it murder, my son was shot five times, four in his chest and one in his neck…while he had a pair of shorts on and a tank top just working out in the gym.”
It smells fishy whenever the government refuses to release information on the death of U.S. soldiers. We’ve seen the Obama Administration cover up the truths behind the deaths of other soldiers. Do you think there could be more to this story? Give us your take in the comments section.
