As Israel continues to seek out in attempts to destroy any and all Hamas terrorists intent on killing its people, the 13th day of attacks has proven one of the most deadly. In a day of shelling and bombings of known Hamas operations, over 100 civilians in the Gaza strip were killed amongst the chaos.
By the day’s end, 13 Israeli soldiers had been killed with one more captured, and over 1/3 of the 100 killed on the Palestinian side being women and children, the collateral damage is adding up. Although this is exactly what Hamas wants – to use civilians has human shields and their deaths for propaganda – the bloodshed by innocents is never acceptable.
As you can see in the video however, Israel is making a blatant attempt – despite making military operations less effective – to warn civilians of bombings beforehand (how else would they know where to point their cameras?). Unfortunately, as Hamas continues their bombardment of rocket after rocket on a daily basis towards Israel, the Jewish nation is being forced to retaliate.
Although many fled during the night as per Israel’s advice, many did not heed the warnings and were caught up in the 7 hour long assault. Does Israel have the right to defend itself no matter the cost or is the deaths of civilians never acceptable? Is there a middle ground in there somewhere? Take a peek at the video above to see just some of the damage done and let us know where you stand on the matter in the comments below.
