Although Obama has done very little to help the country – thus representative of his 39% approval rating – there’s no arguing that Congress has done even less – indicative by their 6% approval rating. One thing Congress is currently pursuing however, has Obama literally shaking in his boots – impeachment.
Obama’s continued lawlessness and Constitutional overstep truly demonstrate the lengths in which he’s willing to go in order to get what he wants. As Americans grow tired of his antics, and illegal behavior, its seems a fire is being lit underneath the butts of elected politicians prompting them to actually do something about it.
As House Majority Leader John Boehner has previously announced, the GOP is moving forward with a major lawsuit against Obama. Along with this, they are keeping a stern eye on the activity coming forth from the White House to prevent any further illegal action as well as looking for any more impeachable offenses.
Knowing full well Obama will not stop until he satisfies his sarcastic agenda, Obama will surely move forward with his announced Executive Actions to further amnesty talks despite its illegality – a notion that has some in the White House scared. The GOP, as it stands, is teetering on the brink of impeachment as it is, and if Obama crosses that line just one more time, it could cost him dearly.
Despite Obama’s pompous “tough guy” exterior, in the comfort of his temporary home, it appears he’s a bit more nervous than he lets on. As you may remember, at a rally in Austin, Texas, he said, “You hear some of them: ‘Sue him! Impeach him!’ Really? For what, doing my job?,” but its not all cupcakes and rainbows in the land of obliviousness.
One senior adviser to Obama, Dan Pfeiffer, has even come forward to express as much saying that, “the White House is taking the prospect of impeachment in the GOP-controlled House more seriously than many others in Washington, who see it as unlikely,” according to The Hill.
As Pfeiffer noted, “I saw a poll today that had a huge portion of the Republican Party base saying they supported impeaching the president. A lot of people in this town laugh that off. I would not discount that possibility.” He further detailed later on that, “I think Speaker Boehner, by going down the path of this lawsuit, has opened the door to Republicans possibly considering impeachment at some point in the future.”
