As you may already know, Fox News Anchor Gregg Jarrett was in a bit of hot water following an alcohol fueled altercation with airport police that occurred back in May. Most recently however, Jarrett plead guilty to disorderly conduct and is now facing a year’s worth of “treatment.”
According to Huffington Post:
Airport spokesman Patrick Hogan said Jarrett’s plea was put on hold for a year and will be thrown out if he doesn’t commit the same or similar offenses and if he abides by certain conditions. Among them, Jarrett can have no alcohol or drug offenses and he must complete treatment.
Now of course, just as every other high-profile criminal (after all, after committing a crime, that is what you are), Jarrett is just getting a slap on the wrist. As it stands, Jarrett was arrested right after leaving rehab and mixing a bit of pills and booze together before the flight home.
As you can see, the courts are in their usual working order as they suggest more of the same, seeing how “treatment” didn’t work the first time around – sounds genius right? I think it was Albert Einstein who said that the definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results.
What do you guys think though – will this stint do any good for Jarrett? How about if he really promises this time with a cherry on top? Let us know your thoughts on this in the comments below.
