Kanye West Compares Celebrities To Blacks In 1960’s

Unless you’ve been living under a rock, you could not have missed the entire world plastered with the news that Kanye West recently married Kim Kardashian. The ridiculous pair seem to be a match made in heaven, as they are probably the only two people on Earth who can put up with each other’s audacious behavior.

The couple’s wedding was incredibly over-the-top and self-indulgent. Let’s just say the amount of money spent on the event was enough to feed the starving children of any third world country for a month. But perhaps the most outlandish thing to happen occurred when West took an entire 45 minutes to make a wedding toast to himself, in which he compared celebrities to blacks in the 1960’s. He told GQ shortly after his marriage:

And what I talked about in it was the idea of celebrity, and celebrities being treated like blacks were in the ’60s, having no rights, and the fact that people can slander your name. I said that in the toast. And I had to say this in a position where I, from the art world, am marrying Kim.

And how we’re going to fight to raise the respect level for celebrities so that my daughter can live a more normal life. She didn’t choose to be a celebrity. But she is. So I’m going to fight to make sure she has a better life.

If none of that insanity made sense to you, don’t worry, it’s because West is as crazy as a loon. He gets the award for the most out of touch person on the planet and the runner up is none other than his now wife, Kim Kardashian. We’d like to offer the couple our most sincere congratulations. Not.
