Although many believe that the current administration is teetering on the brink of tyranny, a new rising amongst the ranks may prove otherwise. Most recently, many Generals, both active and retired, have banded together in order to speak out against Obama policies that they one day feel could eventually lead to the United States being run by a ruler rather than a leader.
We did happen to get a firsthand look at what happens when a top-level General acted out against Obama exposing him for the corrupt crook that he is when he fired Gen. Petraeus for telling the truth under oath. Of course that truth could have been Obama’s demise, but showing that the First Amendment didn’t apply to all Americans, you can see what Obama began to develop a reputation of tyranny.
In a sort of “you can’t fire all of us” mentality however, many other Generals have stood up as Obama’s policies continue to degrade that what is left of our once great and powerful nation. According to the Conservative Tribune:
[R]etired U.S. Army Major General Paul E. Vallely has been vocal about his belief that American liberty will only be restored through peaceful marches and protests to force the resignations of key political leaders, including President Obama. General Vallely has been joined by Air Force Brigadier General Charles Jones to create a “citizen’s council” directly challenging the administration’s policy decisions. Obama’s treatment of Islamic terrorists, including his trade of several Guantanamo Bay detainees for accused deserter Bowe Bergdahl has drawn fire from two other retired generals, Air Force Major General Bentley Rayburn and four-star Army General Jack Keane.
Most recently joining the ranks is the likes of active duty Marine General John Kelly, who has declared that Obama’s refusal to do anything regarding the open border threatens the United State’s existence as a whole. According to WND:
Particularly in regards to the drug trade, murder rates and terrorist activity brewing in Central America, Kelly says, the waves of Latin Americans sweeping through Mexico and illegally into Texas presents a threat to the U.S. every bit as serious as Iran or North Korea.
“In comparison to other global threats, the near collapse of societies in [this] hemisphere with the associated drug and [illegal immigrant] flow are frequently viewed to be of low importance,” Kelly said in an interview with Defense One. “Many argue these threats are not existential and do not challenge our national security. I disagree.”
Now granted, most of the Generals banding together here are retired and thus have nothing to fear, but Kelly is one of the first active duty Generals to stand up against Obama since the transparent firing of Petraeus. It could be that nothing has been done however as mere words are far less damaging to a presidency than classified truths, but what do you think – can this gang of Generals muster up action from the people? Let us know your thoughts on what they’re trying to accomplish in the comments below.
