Nancy Pelosi: Bishops Are Great When They Agree With Me

Oh, Nancy Pelosi, as time goes on, you just make yourself look like a bigger and bigger idiot.

Pelosi likes to act holier than thou and remind us all that she’s a Catholic any chance she gets. But many high-ranking Catholic authorities have blasted her for the fact that she is notoriously pushing her pro-choice agenda. Even though the House Minority Leader has come into conflict with the Church in the past, recent reports suggest that she’s ready to be best buds with any officials who agree with her.

While in Texas pushing a $3.7 billion emergency supplemental spending bill, she cited the El Paso Bishop:

“During the break I visited Brownsville, Texas and saw the challenge that we are facing there. Little children, little children coming across the border. … Whatever you think of it, there is a humanitarian need. No one speaks to it more eloquently than the National Catholic Conference of Bishops [sic] in their report on it. … The bishops talk about baby Jesus being, fleeing violence, that’s how they begin — in the beginning of their report. And at the end of their report they say that to send these children back would be like to send them into a burning building.”

Obama, the king of spending other people’s money, is pushing for the bill to assist with the child migration crisis. The report which Pelosi referred to stated:

“Migration and Refugee Services of USCCB [United States Conference of Catholic Bishops] is the largest refugee resettlement agency in the United States. The Catholic Church’s work in assisting unaccompanied migrant children stems from the belief that every person has a unique and sacred dignity. … We seek to be consistent in acknowledging the implications of this, namely that from the time we come to be in our mother’s womb until the moment our life comes to an end we are deserving of respect and care.”

What do you think of Nancy Pelosi’s hypocritical saga with the Catholic Church? It would seem that, like most politicians, she invokes her faith to get votes and then admonishes the Church whenever it’s popular to do so. Let us know what you think in the comments section!
