Falling in lock-step with her progressive cohorts, Hillary Clinton took the opportunity while on a CNN town hall event on Tuesday to echo the narrative that pro-gun advocates are terrorizing America with their beliefs.
The likely 2016 Democratic nominee for president was asked by a school teacher about assault rifles and high-capacity magazines, two things the anti-gun crowd fears the most. Without missing a beat, Clinton replied with an outrageous anti-gun rant:
“I’m well aware that this is a hot political subject. And again, I will speak out no matter what role I find myself in But I believe that we need a more thoughtful conversation. We cannot let a minority of people – and it’s, that’s what it is, it is a minority of people – hold a viewpoint that terrorizes the majority of people,” said Clinton.
Keep in mind that while the left loves to push the idea that pro-gun advocates are the “minority” in America, however poll after poll shows just the opposite with 53% of Americans being against stricter regulations and only 40% in favor of the government clamping down on the Second Amendment, according to Rasmussen.
No matter what the liberal anti-gun crowd wants to believe, the Second Amendment is the law of the land and as such is not open to debate on how much we do or don’t restrict it. Short of a constitutional amendment, their crusade to get the guns out of the hands of law-abiding citizens will go nowhere since they are the minority and the majority of Americans still believe in our natural rights.
