FIGURES: Liberals Using Latest Killings To Push Gun Control

It’s unclear as to why politicians think that playing on the American people during times of catastrophe is an effective way to create legislation and/or govern, but their strategy has remained constant. In their most recently attempts, Liberals, such as Harry Reid have recently stepped forward to stand atop the dead bodies incurred during the Las Vegas shootings to demand universal background checks for firearm purchases.

Despite this being a regularly unsuccessful way of going about gun control, it seems that any ground ever made was by using such attempts. Although it may be slow, Liberals are realizing that soon enough, after enough is chipped away, they’ll have what they want – its only a matter of time.

After learning of the killings in Las Vegas, Reid was amongst the first to bring up the tiring and expected gun control spiel. On Monday he relayed, “We in Congress, we do need to put in place legislation that helps prevent these deranged, these weird, these evil people who carry out such savage acts of violence.”

Detailing exactly what he meant by “legislation” he further explained, “Background checks so that people who are criminals, who are deranged can’t buy a gun. The American people are depending on us to pass legislation to prevent gun violence and safeguard communities, schools, and families.”

Now of course, politicians are slow to understand that gun control does not mean less violence – all gun control has ever been effective with is the limiting of legal, law abiding citizens. Instead, thick skulled Reid spouts off the false facts saying, “A step in the right direction would be universal background checks, so that people who are criminals, who are deranged, can’t buy a gun.”

Most of the time, those who commit these atrocities are those who appear completely normal on paper, but why should we bother with these facts when it gets in the way with personal and political agenda? Let us know what you think of this nonsense in the comments below.
