Navy Vet Calls For Obama’s Apology Over VA Scandal

TV host and Navy veteran Montel Williams is outraged over Obama’s latest VA scandal, and rightfully so. It hits even closer to home for him than it does for many of us. He appeared on Fox News with Neil Cavuto to voice just how furious he is over the problems with the system which lets the most deserving of Americans down when they are in the most need of help.

He explained his disgust for the Administration:

“I’m angry because, you know, we made a promise. When I stood with my hand up proudly, I said, ‘I do solemnly swear and affirm to support and defend the Constitution against all enemies foreign and domestic and I will bear true faith.’ I went through my oath. I told the world I’m willing to put my life on the line and die for you. Now, our guys went over. They left body parts. Some of them never made it back. Some of them are here now and their souls are still there. And we have the audacity to turn our back on them right this second?”

Williams also called out the president for not making an apology:

“The President just promised $5 billion for terrorists… around the world at West Point? Well, he could have used the day to say ‘I’m sorry for the pain I’ve caused you, the families, and I’m gonna fix it today.”

Unfortunately, Obama is not one for owning up to his mistakes, of which there are so many. It would be nice if just once the man would show a little remorse.

Williams, who served his country for 22 years, also detailed action which could be taken to start to amend some of the VA atrocities. It sure would be nice to see a man like him, someone who cares deeply about service men and women, in government. You can see from the clip how passionate he is about this issue and you can bet that he’d do a better job than the current administration of providing support to our worthy veterans.

Obama’s top priority is making sure the bottom feeders of society get their next hand-out, but he turns his back on those who fought and died for the United States. It’s enough to make you sick. Let us know what you thought of Montel Williams’ harsh criticism of Obama in the comments section!
