For some reason, whenever people talk about gun control one of the first words out of their mouths is “assault rifle,” as if they’re some sort of mythical weapon capable of destroying entire armies with a single pull of the trigger. This is in spite of the fact that less crimes are committed with so-called “assault rifles” than are with hammers even.
Well Ares Defense has come up with an AR-15 configuration that is guaranteed to make the gun-grabbing liberal’s heads explode, I promise. Enter the ARES SCR, a lightweight sporting rifle that for all intents and purposes is an AR-15 but it looks just like any other semi-automatic hunting rifle, so now what libs?
It operates with the same gas system as an AR, accepts any AR-15 upper receiver, accepts AR-15 magazines, and has the same firing rate and capabilities as an AR. The difference is that its stock resembles that of a Remington 870 shotgun and it buries the recoil spring at an angle in the stock.
As the host of this segment notes, this rifle is a “game changer,” since it will be able to be legally sold in all 50 states. It’s also a game changer when it comes to the talk of gun control since it proves what all of us gun enthusiasts already know, that functionally an AR-15 and any other semi-automatic hunting rifle are identical and people are really only afraid of how they look.
This new rifle poses a huge problem for the hoplophobic, sexually retarded people who have an irrational fear of weapons since in order to ban this they would have to ban just about every other semi-automatic rifle on the market, and that’s not going to happen. However when they try, and they will try, we’ll be able to peg them for what they really want, which is to ban all guns and remove them from our society entirely.
So enjoy trying to do something about this gun-grabbers, meanwhile we’ll all keep enjoying our modern sporting rifles in whatever configuration is available.
