As Obamacare continues to bumble down its destructive path while Obama denies its effects to save what’s left of his legacy, some organizations are speaking out a little louder than others against it. Of those is founder of Focus on the Family and Family Talk Radio, James Dobson, who has recently dubbed Obama as the “abortion president.”
Dobson took to speaking out at the National Day of Prayer event to express his gratitude to those in support of his recent win against the government and Obamacare, but also gave praise to God. Recently having been exempt from having to provide abortion pills for his employees, it’s easy to see why he was so excited.

At one point during the legal battle, Dobson even spoke directly to the president saying, “Come and get me. I will not yield to your wicked regulations,” as the bill violates the organization’s religious core. Despite this however, Obama seems to have made a reputation for himself as he is, without a doubt, the most outspoken president ever, in favor of abortion.
Being hailed a hero by the likes of Cecile Richards, who spoke at a recent Planned Parenthood gala, she noted, “President Obama has done more than any president in history for women’s health and rights. He understands that access to birth control and preventive health care are economic issues for women and their families.”
Furthermore she mentioned, “We fought alongside him to ensure that women’s health access was expanded in the landmark Affordable Care Act, and now we have to fight hard to ensure that the full promise of health care reform is realized for millions of women.”
It seems that Dobson however has taken a different approach and is leading the way for a new nickname soon to haunt Obama: the abortion president. Detailing why he refers to him as such, Dobson explains that, “He has made it so that every American will have to pay toward the support of abortion,” and at the current rate, Planned Parenthood is fed about $250 million every year.
However, due to the recent win, it seems his morale is at an all time high as he urges those who stand in opposition of Obamacare to, “keep fighting.” Giving one last rally cry, he said, “We can win. And keep prayer because that’s what really made a difference here.”
Immediately after being disqualified from the abortion pill mandate, Dobson wrote to supporters, “We are celebrating and thanking the Lord this morning. Victory is ours. We won our case against [former Health and Human Services Secretary Kathleen] Sebelius and the Obama administration.”
He also added, “Judge Blackburn wrote a powerful statement, which even used pro-life language, (i.e., referring to a ‘human fetus’). He defended my right to follow the dictates of my conscience. It was eloquent.”
Sharing the reality of if they had lost the case, Dobson relayed, “The mandate requiring that we provide abortifacients such as the morning after pill would have begun on May 1st. After that, if we hadn’t prevailed, fines amounting to $800,000 per year would have kicked in.” Eventually, “We would have closed our doors.”
What do you guys think – does the government have the right to tell you what you must provide as an employer even if that means it violates certain principles you hold dear? Or should those employees just have to suffer (and by that we mean, not be provided with the tools to kill a fetus) on account of their employer’s ideals? Let us know in a comment below.
