An email has recently been released detailing that the reasoning behind the Benghazi attacks, saying it was due to an anti-Muslim video, came directly from the white house. Since that time, of course Jay Carney has denied that the email was even specifically about the Benghazi attacks, but some, just aren’t buying it.
Of those is Jason Chaffetz recently took advantage of a House Oversight Committee interview to prove and express his legitimate outrage over the intentionally deceitful excuse. During the course of the interview, he was able to show that those in a position of knowledge at the time, had no conception that a video had anything to do with the attacks.

Speaking with Retired U.S. Air Force Brigadier General Robert Lovell, it quickly came to light that the attack was pre-meditated, wasn’t a progressive build up of aggression and also was also linked to “Ansar al-Sharia, an al Qaeda affiliate,” on that night.
Chaffetz asked, “How quickly did you come to the conclusion that you believed they were al Qaeda affiliates or al Qaeda themselves involved and engaged in this attack?” To which Lovell replied, “Very, very soon. When we were still in the very early, early hours of this activity.”
In an attempt to get everything out in the open, Chaffetz next bluntly asks, “Was it a video?” Although we already know that answer, Lovell confirmed, “No, sir.” Further honing into his point, Chaffetz inferred that the CIA knew the attack was, “not, not an escalation of protests,” to which Lovell agreed.
Becoming quite boisterous as the Congressman allows his frustration to get the better of him, he exclaims, “The scandal that is here, that some choose to ignore is a phony scandal, is the fact that the CIA, the CIA station chief, the military themselves — you have the person sitting in front of us who’s the head of intelligence — he’s looking at the intelligence. They come to the conclusion that it’s Ansar al-Sharia.”
He further shared, “And then you also have the Department of State telling the Libyans that it was Ansar al-Sharia. None of them think it’s a video. None of them.”
“The military, the CIA, the CIA station chief, the State Department; all of them, the facts at the time, Mr. Chairman, the facts do not point to a video,” Chevez concluded hammering his point home. “That only comes from the White House.”
