The feud between Fox News’ Sean Hannity and Comedy Central’s John Stewart is a long time in the making and according to Stewart, “sh*t just got weird.”
Recently speaking on the Bundy issue, the two have been going back and forth using their shows as a platform to give less than subtle digs at one another. During one of his most recent segments, Hannity stated that, John Stewart was, “kind of obsessed,” with him – a quote that burrowed extremely deep beneath Stewart’s skin.
Just last night, Stewart used some time to speak out about just that expressing that, “sh*t just got weird,” in the longwinded dispute. Sharing that Hannity, for once, did share some valid points, he actually went on to agree with a few things.
Amongst those claims, he surprisingly shared that he may, in fact, be obsessed with Hannity by saying:
“I am obsessed with your program in the same way that I’m obsessed with antibiotic-resistant superbugs or the Pacific garbage patch or the KFC Double Down, because I just can’t believe that in this day and age, with all that we know, this shit is out there — that humanity, that our society, is still weighed down by these burdens of a seemingly more medieval time. Like your show.”
Now of course, being that Bundy has most recently come forward with some extremely racist remarks, many of his supporters have since shied away leaving many leftover with the aftertaste of their own foot in their mouth. Trying to explain just that, Stewart goes on to share several seemingly hypocritical standpoints that Hannity has aired pointing out a pattern.
