Chelsea Clinton was more than ecstatic as she announced that she was expecting during the Clinton’s Clinton Foundation’s No Ceilings: The Full Participation Project. After announcing her pregnancy, she then shot over to the Shorts Program: City Limits at the 2014 Tribeca Film Festival where she posed for a few photos.
Speaking with the audience there to attend the No Ceilings: The Full Participation Project – a movement to empower young women – Clinton shared, “Marc and I are very excited that we have our first child arriving later this year.”

The audience soon erupted in applause and cheering, but she continued on by saying, “I certainly feel all the better whether it’s a girl or a boy that she or he will grow up in world filled with so many strong, young female leaders.”
Paying tribute to the grandmother-to-be, she concluded by noting, “I just hope that I will be as good a mom to my child and hopefully children as my mom was to me.”
Mail Online predicts, “Chelsea is likely to be around 12 weeks along; most women wait until the start of the second trimester to announce their pregnancy because the chance of miscarriage is greatly reduced.”
It wasn’t long before Twitter lit up with talks of the expecting mother, including the grandparents themselves. Hillary kicked off the comments by saying, “My most exciting title yet: Grandmother-To-Be! @billclinton and I are thrilled that Chelsea and Marc are expecting their first child!”
Bill was soon to follow as he stated in similar fashion, “Excited to add a new line to my Twitter bio…grandfather-to-be! @hillaryclinton and I are so happy for Chelsea and Marc!”
Even George Bush’s son and fellow former first family member, Jenna Bush Hager, gave her congratulations saying, “Congratulations @ChelseaClinton! Welcome to the best club in the world. Mamahood is wonderful. Xx”
Seeing how the word was already out, Chelsea took to thanking the many that had already sent them their best by conveying, “Marc and I are so thrilled to be expecting our first child in the fall! Thank you for all of the kind words!”
Apparently Hillary has been nagging her daughter for quite some time as Chelsea shared with Glamour magazine, “2014 is the year of the baby, call my mother and tell her that. She asks [Marc and I] about it every single day.”
Even Hillary has come right out and expressed that she’d be an, “unbearable,” grandmother but she’d “love” for it to become a reality one day. She then went on to say, “Well, no pressure, because I don’t want to be one of those kinds of mothers. But obviously, someday, I’d love it.”
