The fight against prostitution is decades (if not centuries) old, and St. Louis police have taken it upon themselves to enact a new tactic to fight against the illicit act.  In an attempt to shame those seeking the comfort of prostitutes, they are now publicly humiliating horny men by mailing them bright yellow postcards.

Although the men try and remain discrete in their secretive lives, St. Louis police, in two separate neighborhoods, are going to try inflicting a new form of punishment – humiliation.  When men are found to have been guilty of such a crime the police will mail them the noticeable postcards that read:

“The City of St. Louis, its residents, and your neighbors would like to remind you that lewd, lascivious and/or suggestive behavior (including but not limited to prostitution, solicitation and prostitution loitering) are a violation of city ordinance and state law.”

The police have since predicted that using the public to shame such behavior will result in a decrease in occurrences throughout the area.  Seeing that several women have been solicited for prostitution despite not working even remotely in the field, several residents in the surrounding remain hopeful of such results.
