As American values continue to be chipped away in an effort to mandate tolerance, it appears a new trend is sweeping the nation. As time ticks on several Liberal actors have come forward to explain that monogamy is unnatural and that sex with multiple partners is healthier than just one.
Despite the sanctity of marriage being held near and dear to several red blooded Americans, it seems that the left is pushing for a sexually charged nation. Sharing that there’s no wrong in having countless partners to fulfill a thirst unquenchable by one person, Liberal elites are coming together to voice their collective opinion on the matter.
Most recently, Cameron Diaz has come forward to share that she, in no way, expects one man to be able to fulfill the emotional needs she has. Instead, she describes that she breaks up those needs into two categories – men for the sexual part, and women for the emotional.
Trying to explain her point, she recently noted in an interview, “For some reason, we get into relationships and we expect one man to understand ‘all’ the parts of us and meet all of those needs. I think that’s where everything fails.”
After being asked if having multiple partners is better than having just one, she replied, “Why not? Why would that be so bad?” She then conveyed that, “she now looks to her female friends to satisfy her varying needs,” according to the Mail Online.
She isn’t alone in this theory either. Many other famous celebrities have come forward to light the path for other likeminded folk.
Take for instance Akon who recently shared that he does not believe in monogamy despite being married himself. He went on to share that he actually isn’t monogamous in his relationship but expects his wife to be.
Larry King, the man conducting the interview then relayed how that sounded like quite the double standard. Unafraid in his convictions, Akon said, “Actually, no, it’s not. A woman don’t just wake up one day and say, ‘Oh, I’m gonna sleep with that guy.’ But a guy do wake up one day and say, ‘I’m gonna sleep with that woman.’”
The likes of Ethan Hawke has even come forward to share his belief that is similar in nature. During an interview he explained, “People have such a childish view of monogamy and fidelity.” Hawke went on to add, “’He’s cheated so he’s bad, she’s cheated so she’s bad,’ as opposed to a recognition that our species is not monogamous. To act all indignant, that your world has been rocked because your lover wasn’t faithful to you, is a little bit like acting rocked that your hair went gray.”
Yet another Hollywood starlet, Scarlett Johansson, has said in the past, “I don’t think human beings are monogamous creatures by nature.”
What do you think – is monogamy an unrealistic expectation where has society pressured us into it accepting it as some unwritten law or is that the way it’s supposed to be? Let us know what you think by leaving a comment below.
