Jeb Bush Concerned About Family, Not Next Election

There has been much talk lately about another Bush running in the 2016 election, but Jeb Bush seems entirely nonchalant about the idea. The former Florida governor has stayed out of the spotlight for the most part – not your typical politician whoring themselves out for a few seconds in front of the camera. Even with that being the case, several big donors and fellow politicians are coming forward and have endorsed Bush as being a strong contender for the 2016 Republican nominee.

Chris Christie is one such politician who believes Bush is what the Republican party needs, and Bush had equally good things to say about Christie in an interview with Fox News’ Shannon Bream. He also mentioned that there is a long list of others who are qualified for the job. Apparently after Obama, almost everybody else starts to look like a viable option.

Bush told Bream that his decision on whether or not to run for the presidency will come down to two simple things:

“Can a candidate run with a hopeful, optimistic message, hopefully with enough detail that it gives people a sense that it’s not just idle words, and not get back into the vortex of the mud fight? In my case, that means, can one do it joyfully? And the other is, is it ok for my family? Is it something that isn’t a huge sacrifice for our family?”

It is certainly nice to see a politician who is more concerned with family and values than money and standing. You can view Bush’s entire interview with Fox here.

Do you think that Jeb Bush is a strong contender for the next Presidential race? The Bush family has received their fair share of scrutiny, which could be an obstacle. However, the Obama Administration has proven to be such a joke that many are beginning to realize George Bush wasn’t all that bad. What do you think? Could you get behind another Bush?
