The show has been running for five epic seasons now, which is longer than most reality shows last. For most of that time, it was the number one reality show on television, much to the dismay of gun grabbers and atheists everywhere. It was only slightly beat out by the premier of another reality show, The Real Housewives Of Atlanta. Duck Dynasty had 1.9 million viewers that week, while The Housewives got 2 million. Of course, liberals have been quick to blame the ratings plummet on Phil Robertson’s comments just before the start of the season.

Even if the drop in ratings spells the end for Duck Dynasty, the Robertson family surely does not need their reality show to keep them afloat. They have said publicly many times that the show is an avenue for them to express their faith, not to gain riches – which they already had plenty of. If A&E decides to can their main cash cow, the Robertson’s will just keep on doing what they do best – family and ducks.
