A creepy clown has been mysteriously haunting the streets of Staten Island and few residents are happy about it. Eerily waving at passersby, the clown mostly just stands there with a less that satisfying grin leaving people saying, “Guess who ain’t sleeping tonight.”
The clown has been showing up recently all over the town at entirely different locations. The creepy figure has been seen mostly at night, at locations such as train stations, beneath underpasses and even hiding behind trees. It should also be noted that the unsettling clown has also been seen during the day on a few occasions.
The disguised prankster has most recently been the cause for quite a bit of social media attention as unsettled witness have been known to snap a pic and post it to either Facebook or Twitter. Pictured holding balloons most of the time, the local population is becoming increasingly aware of his presences.
Instagram user, Robert Privitera, shared a photo of the man in costume with the caption reading, “I’m driving home from the gym and this is what I see. Guess who ain’t sleeping tonight.”
Other, more well known people, have seen the clown as well such as comedian Vic Dibitetto. He recently took a video of the masked prankster at a bank drive through asking the question, “Funny, how?”
Michael Leavy shared his frightening experience claiming, “Ok so I’m a little freaked out right now. I was driving home from Buffalo Wild Wings and saw this waving at me.” Apparently the scary creature jumped out from behind a tree, scaring Leavy half to death. He later explained the unsettling nature of it all saying, “He was just kinda standing there waving.”
This isn’t the first time something like this has happened either, as just last year another prankster was doing the same thing over in the UK. Discovered to be a student by the name of Alex Powell, many have speculated that it’s the same kid just up to his usual antics.
