A recently released video from the Richmond Police Department shows an armed robbery attempt that was thwarted by the store clerk and a nearby customer.

According to reports, the robbery attempt took place at 12890 San Pablo Ave, Richmond, Va on February 26.

Sgt. Nicole Abetkov said that at around 1:30 a.m. the suspect, Michael Corbin, walked into the AM/PM at said location and pointed his revolver in the face of the clerk. The clerk then grabbed the barrel of the gun and held on to it and a customer in the store intervened, wrapping Corbin up from behind and slamming him to the ground. The customer then held the 50 year old man in place until police arrived.

Corbin does have a prior criminal record and he was booked into the county jail on charges of weapons possession and armed robbery. There’s no word on if bail has been set.
