General Hassan Firouzabadi of the Iranian military has said that they’re prepared for war against the United States and that the U.S. government’s threats against them mean nothing.

The Chief of Staff of Iran’s armed forces told the Iranian newspaper Fars News that “We are ready for a decisive battle against the U.S. and the Zionist regime.” He says that if they are targeted from US bases in the area then they too will target those bases in return.

He went on to say that their preparations for war with the US and Israel have been ongoing for over a decade and that the “enemies” and the Western backed forces that came into the area have since withdrawn since they “eventually came to the conclusion that they lack the ability to wage war on Iran.”

The general said that “if any war is waged on Iran we won’t give any ground to the enemy and they themselves know that.” He also said that any threats against the nation are merely “political bluffs” and that they are easily disregarded by the nation’s leaders.

The threats come shortly after the US and Iran reached a deal where Iran would halt nuclear production in exchange for economic sanctions being lifted.

It has also recently been reported that Iran has war ships that are moving past the Horn of Africa en route to United States Maritime borders. They have also recently been testing long range missiles.
