Tenancingo, Mexico has now been coined “The Town That Sex Trafficking Built” thanks to three brothers. Jose Barrientos-Perez , Benito Lopez-Perez, and Anastasio Romero-Perez, have all three been arrested for trafficking women as young as 14-years-old for prostitution purposes.
The young women would be lured to a motel, raped countless times, and finally brought to the United States where they would be forced to have sex with as many as 60 men a day.
One victim who was able to escape in 2011, describes the horrific ordeal:
“I can only describe my life in New York as five years in hell. From the day I arrived in New York until the day I escaped, Benito forced me to work seven days a week. I was just merchandise for him. His associates, his clients treated me as an animal. At the end of the day I was bleeding and in great pain caused by these men.”
This woman, who identified herself as Carmen, reported that she was severely beaten on a regular basis and began to wish that her abusers would just beat her to death so that her suffering would be over.
What do you think is a just punishment for these animals who have ruined the lives of so many innocent women? Let us know in the comments below.
