Ann Coulter: Republicans Preparing To “Sell Out” Country On Immigration

If you’re familiar with Ann Coulter, you know her as a hard-hitting, no nonsense conservative journalist who has a reputation for taking the fight to the front door of whoever she’s going after. She’s tough, she’s smart, and she can be your worst nightmare if she has you in her cross hairs.

Recently the republicans released their new plan for immigration reform. Within it they pretty much embrace the democrats views on immigration reform and take a much softer stance than most of America wants, and Coulter is outraged.

She was given a report on immigration that collected and analyzed data from many different sources and explained how immigration is changing the country. This report, she says, is evidence that the republicans are about to sell out the country and give democrats a permanent majority if they follow through with their latest plans on immigration.

She points out that even continuing our current immigration practices will spell doom for the GOP, and the country, since immigrants have always been “the bulwark of the Democratic Party. For one thing, recent arrivals tend to be poor and in need of government assistance. Also, they’re coming from societies that are far more left-wing than our own. History shows that, rather than fleeing those policies, they bring their cultures with them,” and she’s right.

I live in Charlotte right now and people from New York are swarming here like flies around a manure pile. In the 14 years I’ve been here I’ve watched the political landscape change as more people, democrats, from the north have relocated for the better economy and less intrusive government then turn around and vote for the people who gave them a horrible economy and intrusive government up north. It’s mind boggling to think about, but it’s the same phenomenon that’s happening with immigrants, they move here and bring their culture with them and vote for the people who will turn this nation into what they fled for greener pastures.

She further explains why this will happen, saying that for over a century immigrants have largely sided with democrats and at the current rate of 1.1 new immigrants annually the GOP will be irrelevant in about a decade because of the change in demographics.

She cited many different statistics in her article, but I’m only going to share what’s relevant so you can see what I’m talking about.

According to a Harris poll, 67% of natural born Americans believe that the constitution is a higher legal authority than international law, which should be 100%, however only 37% of naturalized Americans believe this.

81% of natural born Americans believe that schools should teach children to be proud of being American while only 50% of naturalized Americans do.

This is great news for the democrats, Coulter explains, but horrible news for the rest of the nation who’s going to watch the destruction of “the last remnants of what was once known as the land of the free.”

She concludes her piece ripping into Boehner and the rest of the GOP, saying that the only one’s who oppose these policies are the American people, “But are they going to give John Boehner a job when he’s no longer House speaker, as some big business lobbyist will?  Will they help Marco Rubio run for president on the claim that, as a Cuban, he can appeal to Hispanics? (Fat chance.) Will they bundle contributions for Eric Cantor’s re-election, as well-heeled donors will? Will they be enough to re-elect Kevin McCarthy to Congress so he can keep his gold-plated government health insurance? Will they be the ones writing Darrell Issa’s flattering New York Times obituary?”

She finishes saying “Sorry Americans. You lose.”

She’s right, we do lose and that’s why it’s up to us to stop the plans for amnesty if we’re ever going to preserve our nation.
