Sarah Palin, the feisty former governor of Alaska, had some choice words for Obama in a Facebook update to her followers yesterday.

After quoting Dr. Martin Luther King Jr’s famous “I Have A Dream” speech, she told Obama that in honor of Dr. King she should stop playing the race card because of the division it causes.

The first part of the update stated;

“I have a dream that my four little children will one day live in a nation where they will not be judged by the color of their skin, but by the content of their character”

After that she blasted the President, calling him out directly for his repeated use of race in his arguments for different reforms and legislation;

“Mr. President, in honor of Martin Luther King, Jr. and all who commit to ending any racial divide, no more playing the race card”

She went on to wish her followers a “Happy MLK, Jr Day”.

She never did specifically reference any time Obama has played the “race card”, but if you’ve ever watched any of his speeches then you’re no stranger to his thoughts about the impact of a person’s race on their social and economic situations. In fact just recently in an interview while talking about the need for legalizing marijuana he referenced people’s skin color as the cause for the disparity in sentencing for marijuana related offenses. Let’s also not forget that he thinks that the people who disagree with him politically do so because he’s black.
