Christopher Scheller was suspected of driving drunk in Heidleberg Township, PA early in December. The young driver had drifted off the road and slammed into a tree. When police arrived they called the ambulance to make sure his injuries weren’t life threatening.

Of course, when the medical technicians arrived they discovered that the 18-year-old was probably drunk and so they transported him to York hospital.

The medical staff, though, thought something was very odd and took x-rays of suspect. When they got back their film, they saw something quite odd, indeed.

In his rectum, the medics saw a bag of synthetic marijuana, drug paraphernalia, four bracelets, four necklaces and 11 women’s rings.

“I don’t think I’ve ever dealt with that before. It’s definitely unusual. Not my first thought what he was hiding there,” Officer Mike Matthews said.

Officer Matthews investigated and found that Scheller stole the jewelry from a Heidelberg Township home where he was staying.

Scheller is now charged with theft, receiving stolen property, possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, DUI, reckless driving and other charges.

His bail was set at $75,000 when he was arraigned Tuesday, and remains in prison.
