Soap Opera Star Fired for Groping Co-Star’s Breasts

The soap opera TV show is almost something of the past. Unfortunately, the behavior of The Young And The Restless star Michael Muhney might help hasten the genera’s demise. News is that Muhney was fired for groping the breasts of his female co-star… and not for a love scene, either.
Actor Michael Muhney joined CBS’ Y&R in 2009. The show, which debuted in 1972 among a crowded field of soaps, is one of the few still in production today.
The celebrity rumor site TMZ reported that Muhney was fired for groping the breasts of co-star, 20-year-old Hunter King. “He went to higher-ups and complained recently Muhney had fondled her breasts on 2 occasions–and she said both were unsolicited and unwanted,” the site reported.
Apparently, the actor has had many problems like this on the set in the past. Muhney, who is married with 3 kids, has been accused by several other actresses of harassment.
The troubled actor confirmed the firing on his Twitter account on December 17 saying, “I’m so sorry. It breaks my heart to say this, but I was just let go from Y&R. My last day on set is this Thursday.”
Miss King told production bosses that she felt constantly “bullied and harassed” by Muheny.

For his part, the actor didn’t seem much interested in confirming why he was fired saying only, “I’m going to take some private time with my wife & kids, as I am most concerned for their well-being.”
Muhney’s last show will air on January 30.
