OJ Simpson has been scrambling for years to find a way–any way–to get let out of his conviction for armed robbery and now he has a new gambit: a presidential pardon.
Sources say that Simpson, who was convicted for a 2008 armed robbery for which he received a sentence of 33 years in prison, is seeking the pardon as all his other legal maneuvers have resulted in little headway.

Simpson, who is serving a sentence for kidnapping, assault and robbery in a Nevada prison, is said to be undergoing treatment for a possible cancerous tumor in his brain. The former football star is also reported as having acute diabetes and high blood pressure. Some feel he may not have long to live.
“O.J. says his memory is slipping and he gets painful headaches and other symptoms,” a source told the media. Simpson apparently has blurry vision, occasional stuttering and hearing problems. He also at times feels confused and has unusual bursts of anger and fits of depression.
To reach parole eligibility, though, Simpson has to serve another four years of his sentence and he and his advisors fear that he won’t live that long–or at least that is the story they are trying to sell the world.
So, with all this swirling around him, Simpson is reportedly reaching out to President Obama for a pardon. Presidents this power and Simpson hopes to exploit that.
OJ Simpson became famous as an NFL football player in the 70s then an occasional actor but he became infamous for being let off the hook for the 1994 murder of his wife, Nicole Brown Simpson, and her close friend, Ronald Goldman.
