There’s nothing like involuntarily doing something completely embarrassing in front of a crowd. Exactly that happened when a local news reporter fainted mid-interview while being broadcasted live on local TV. The best thing about the incident though, is that she woke up and recovered like nothing ever happened.
KUTV’s Brooke Graham was in the middle of a live report talking to instructors about skiing as a hobby and how one could get into it. All of a sudden, the reporter began so slightly sway back and forth as her words began to slow down and her speech slurred.
In the matter of seconds, the woman loses consciousness, and fell backward onto the snow with an astounding thud. While the woman lies blacked out on the snow, the instructor attempts to remove his skis in effort to aid the woman.
But just as he gets his skis off and bends down to help the reporter she comes to talking the moment she woke up without skipping a beat.
She attempts to brush off the incident by saying that she, “slipped and fell,” she graciously turned the news back to her anchors who sadly, were seen laughing at the woman.
Now before the live report, Graham did, “warned her producer she was getting light headed and beginning to feel sick,” but decided to proceed anyways. After the incident she described that, “After I went down I sat up and had no idea how long I had been out but saw the camera pointed at my face and decided to keep on talking!”
Graham recently took to her blog to explain the events that so many bore witness to. She explained to concerned viewers, “I passed out during my live shot this Saturday. This is not the first time I have passed out cold. I am known to faint any time I am in high altitudes and get too cold. So this week I plan to go get checked out by a doctor and get to the bottom of it.”
Graham is reported to be doing alright and has even admitted to laughing at the video after watching it.
