A 31-year-old high school choir teacher has been arrested for having sex with a student “at least five times.” The teacher, however, claims that she only had sex with the boy after he graduated from high school.

Greer High School choir teacher Jessica Bollinger, 31, was arrested on December 19 for the sexual abuse of a 17-year-old student with whom she admitted having a relationship.
Bollinger admitted to the school’s principal that she had sex with the boy “at least five times.” After the conversation Bollinger was suspended from her job.

Authorities stepped in to charge Bollinger with sexual battery and have maintained that she had sex with the boy before he graduated.
Cops say the relationship started on October 1, 2012 and lasted at least until June 5, 2013.
While the age of consent is 17 in South Carolina, it is still illegal for a teacher to have sex with a student.

Greer High School released a statement that read:
“Ms Jessica Bollinger, former choral teacher at Greer High School, resigned Friday afternoon, Nov 22, during the course of the district’s investigation of the allegations.”
“She had been placed on administrative leave on Nov 20 pending investigation by the school district and law enforcement. District officials will report their findings to the State Department of Education to take action regarding her teaching certificate.”
Bollinger was arrested last Thursday and charged with sexual battery with a student 16 or 17 years of age, with no aggravated force or coercion. She was released on 8,000 bail.
