One-time boxing champ Mike Tyson was a big supporter of Barack Obama and his signature healthcare law, Obamacare. Now the champ is saying that the whole thing is a failure.
In an appearance on the little seen Piers Morgan Show on CNN, Tyson says of Obamacare, “we have to come to the reality that it didn’t work.”
Morgan brought up that in a previous interview, Tyson said that one of the “real cares and fears of the people on the street” is healthcare. Morgan wanted to know what Tyson thought about the mess that is Obamacare.
“This thing just really went horrible, didn’t it,” Tyson said of the failed rollout of Obamacare.
“It’s really, um… it’s really bad,” Tyson said.
Morgan asked if Tyson still supported the idea of government giving people healthcare and Tyson replied, “If they can get the healthcare but as of now it doesn’t seem they can get it. I was for it 100% but we just have to come to the reality that it didn’t work.”

Tyson says he still supports Obama but made it clear that he didn’t think the president has done all that much for America’s black community.
Tyson didn’t absolve blacks, though. He said he thinks that it is up to blacks to act in an upstanding way and said, “No president has ever only cared about the African-American community, and I don’t think that’s ever gonna happen.”
Tyson also addressed the criminal “knock out game” that has surged across the country saying that the kids doing these crimes are just “evil people.”
These were some logical and interesting comments from a guy well known for his troubled past. What do you think of Tyson’s interview? Tell us in the comments.
