After years of debate, the Republican-led U.S. House of Representatives is finally preparing to hold impeachment hearings.

According to The Political Insider, the House is considering the impeachment of Obama’s IRS Commissioner John Koskinen for lying to Congress repeatedly during the investigations into the IRS’s targeting of tea party and conservative organizations. He has also been ccused of failing to comply with a subpoena.

Last Friday, the House Judiciary Committee announced plans for two hearings in the coming weeks to discuss the “misconduct” of Koskinen. Republicans on the House Oversight Committee say Koskinen misled them about the status of sensitive emails regarding the IRS tea party scandal. During their probe of the scandal, these documents were deleted.

“The fact that officials at the IRS wielded their power to target certain Americans for their political views is both outrageous and contrary to our nation’s values,” Chairman Bob Goodlatte (R-Va.) said in a statement. “Despite repeated congressional efforts to get to the bottom of this matter, Obama Administration officials, including the IRS Commissioner, have consistently undermined the investigation.”

House Oversight Chairman Jason Chaffetz (R-Utah) and Freedom Caucus Chairman Jim Jordan (R-Ohio) have been discussing impeaching Koskinen for over a year.

We’re glad to see that someone from Obama’s White House may finally be impeached. SHARE this story if you think Barack Hussein Obama himself should be impeached as well!
