A man was hiking at a suicide spot in rural Queensland, Australia when he suddenly realized he was being watched. Terrified, he then snapped a photo of something that many are now saying is a ghost.

According to Daily Mail, the image was posted to the Toowoomba Ghost Chasers’ Facebook page on Thursday night, and it seems to show a bald man, with a short beard and wearing a red jumper. The figure appears to be standing on a pile of sticks.

The group claims the photo was taken by a member, Brokc David, while he was hiking in a national park near Goomburra, Toowoomba.

“This was shared by a member who went out hiking at a local Toowoomba water hole known for suicides,” the Facebook post read. “He all of a sudden felt as though he was being watched and followed and he felt an awful feeling of dread wash over him.. Then when going back through his photos he finds this.”

The group acknowledged that the area is frequented by hikers, but they also said it’s rare to see someone dressed in red. David said he experiences a “feeling of dread” whenever he looks at the picture.

“Oddly enough I’ve been experiencing a similar feeling of dread every once in a while over the last week,” he wrote on Facebook. “I’ll be walking down the street and all of a sudden feel like something is about to jump out at me from behind a tree.”

The internet has taken David’s side, with many people saying that the photo looks real.

“Definitely a bearded man there in red!” one woman said.

Some said they saw other “spirits” in the image, and some said they saw two young children.

“Oh boy, in one of the pics there are spirits sitting on tree branches a girl and boy,” an internet user said. “In the other pictures around the spirit man there are many spirit faces.”

One woman said she saw a “few lost souls” in the picture, and circled them in red.
