Big Changes Coming for Megyn Kelly

At the Republican debate last Thursday, Megyn Kelly tried to save her struggling television show by going after Donald Trump in front of millions of people.

Unfortunately for her, this turned out to be a huge mistake.

The backlash against Kelly for her inexcusable behavior during the debate was swift. Over 50,000 people signed a petition demanding she be banned from ever hosting a debate again, and even her co-anchors at Fox started to turn on her. Things got worse for her when Trump himself fired back at her, and yesterday Kelly announced that she will be going on a 10 day vacation, effective immediately.

While Kelly’s escapades have made her a pariah among conservatives, they have had the opposite effect on her image with liberals. Democrats now see Kelly as a brilliant victim of Trump’s madness, and the “Big 3” liberal networks have all reportedly made lucrative offers to Kelly this week.

Desperate to keep Kelly on his payroll, Fox head Roger Ailes has promised her some big changes are coming her way. According to Mediaite, Ailes is planning to make Kelly “the next Oprah,” awarding her a series of primetime specials which are set to begin airing early in 2016.

Ailes has also given Kelly full editorial freedom on her show The Kelly File, something she would never have on CBS, NBC, or ABC. In addition, Ailes has warned Kelly that she does not want to end up like Katie Couric, the anchor who was America’s sweetheart for 15 years on the Today show, only to lose nearly all of her fans when she left to anchor CBS News.

Despite the offers, it doesn’t seem like Megyn Kelly is going anywhere, but that doesn’t mean big changes aren’t coming her way…
