For the last few weeks, we have been reporting on Donald Trump, who found himself the target of liberal backlash after he criticized the U.S.’s relationship with Mexico during his campaign announcement.

While many didn’t take Trump seriously as a presidential candidate at the beginning, that all changed last week when polls revealed that Trump is currently the frontrunner in the race for the GOP nomination. Despite his success, the GOP establishment has been on a mission to take Trump down because he refuses to let them control him.

Since he currently has a commanding lead in the GOP race, Trump is already planning who he will be appointing to various positions in his administration. Over the weekend, rumors circulated that Trump was considering having former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin run as his Vice President. Now, it has been revealed that conservative commentator Ann Coulter would like to be the head of Trump’s Homeland Security.

While speaking at the Eagle Forum’s Collegian Summit in Washington D.C. this past weekend, Coulter said that if Trump appointed her to the position, she would take a tough stance on illegal immigration.

“I would like to be the head of Donald Trump’s Homeland Security. We’re assimilating you, you’re here and you’re going to be an American,” Coulter said, according to Conservative Tribune. “There will be no celebration of Cinco de Mayo, there will be no Ramadan, in fact there won’t even be a Feast of the Immaculate Conception — we are an Anglo-Protestant country, and you will learn about the Battle of Valley Forge.”
