Academy Award winner Robert Duvall appeared on David Letterman to promote his new movie, “The Judge,” but his most recent film endeavor was upstaged by his political views. Duvall took the opportunity to slam liberal comedian Stephen Colbert, who will be replacing Letterman upon his retirement.

“Why are you retiring?” the legendary actor asked Letterman. “That guy taking over’s not that funny. That guy’s not that funny. Sorry, maybe he’s your friend.”

The Conservative Tribune revealed that at the age of 83, Robert Duvall has been a staple in the entertainment industry for over 60 years. He has championed conservative values throughout his enviable career, and never been worse off for it. His new movie will focus on small town themes.

The impending elections have inspired many conservative celebrities to voice their political views. We’ve also seen a substantial number of former Democrats come out in support of the Republican Party, apparently fed up with the Obama Administration. Let us know what you think of Duvall’s statement in the comments section.
