Obama’s Newest Critic Will Surprise You…Is There Hope For Mainstream Media?

Former CNN anchor, Piers Morgan has had a change of heart, it seems. Once upon a time this British import was as enamored with Obama as everyone else at CNN. His recent Op-Ed in the UK Daily Mail states: “The truth is that Obama is the one who underestimated ISIS, plunging his head ostrich-like into the sand and hoping they would go away without having to do anything to actually make them go away. There were clear, unambiguous public warnings made nearly a year ago in front of the Foreign Affairs Committee that ISIS was on the march in Syria and Iraq. But perhaps Obama missed them. Hardly surprising when we discover yesterday that he has only attended 42.1 percent of his Presidential Daily intelligence briefings.”

Careful Mr. Morgan, you are dangerously close to actually reporting unbiased news. His facts are accurate and his further assessment that Obama has weakened our military and made our country look weak are spot on. If one didn’t know better, this Piers Morgan might be mistaken for a Conservative…or at least a moderate.

For years everyone has identified this Leftist as a typical example of what the mainstream media should not be. It would appear, however, that Piers Morgan has corrected the error of his journalistic ways. He finishes by writing, “Imagine how emboldened they (ISIS) must have felt when Obama made his ‘heartfelt’ speech about journalist James Foley’s execution, and was then seen laughing and joking on the golf course SEVEN MINUTES later. Obama has so far played golf 192 times since becoming President… the Leader of the Free World, and with such a title comes huge responsibility. The kind of responsibility that Obama seems so keen to shirk. It’s time he got off the damn golf course, got up to speed with his intelligence briefings and focused on wiping out ISIS.”

For once, most Americans, conservative or liberal, are likely to agree with Morgan. It is time, Mr. President, to act like our President and not the celebrity in chief.
