As many Americans were hopeful that Obama would be impeached it seems that reality is fading rather quickly. According to a recent announcement, the GOP, although intent on suing Obama, does not want to impeach him.

Earlier today, House Speaker John A. Boehner clearly stated, “We have no plans to impeach the president. We have no future plans. Listen, it’s all a scam started by Democrats at the White House.”

Although House Democrats recently released a list of GOP members that have all outwardly declared their desire for Obama’s impeachment it seems that the rumor, in and of themselves, came directly from Obama’s own party. Obviously there are mixed feeling on the matter, as many Americans feel this would be a step in the right direction while others are critical given his replacement.

According to Boehner, the GOP would rather Obama just stick to his word, try to help Americans and do so within the confines of the law. In all, Republicans want to send a clear message to Obama and deal him a consequence for his blatant and frequent constitutional overstep and general lawlessness.

Where do you guys stand on the matter though – is impeachment the best way to go about dealing with the issues in D.C.? Feel free to let us know your thoughts in the comments below.
