A Swiss drone enthusiast decided it would be fun if we could view some of the world’s most iconic landmarks along with scenic natural wonders while we sit at home on the couch so he created a website that archives drone footage from around the world.

Jan Hiersemenzel made the website Travel By Drone as a library of footage from fellow enthusiasts from all across the globe that people can search and watch whenever they want.

“It’s difficult to find good drone footage and there are great videos scattered everywhere,” he said.

Now all you have to do is visit the site and choose a location on the interactive map of the world. Once you click it, the videos that are available from that region will be displayed and you pick what you want to watch.

The site includes both amateur and professional videos that take you anywhere from the Las Vegas strip to the remote wilderness in Alaska and beyond. A team that works for the site verifies that each video is authentic before it’s posted as well.

Once verified, the videos are geographically tagged then added to the map.
