Fred Thompson SLAMS Obama’s Presidential Library

Former Presidential candidate Fred Thompson is known for his dry sense of humor and no-holds-barred attitude when it comes to expressing how he feels. He’s not exactly worried about being politically correct.

His latest tweet garnering loads of attention perfectly calls out the irony of the location for President Obama’s new library.

It comes as no surprise that the library will be constructed in Illinois, where Obama spent his days as a community organizer. However, Thompson pointed out via social media:

Already-broke IL to spend $100M to build Obama’s presidential library. I honestly can’t think of anything more symbolically perfect.”

Neither can we, Mr. Thompson, neither can we.

I cannot begin to imagine how the state will invest $100 million into a library. Will all of the toilets be gold-plated? Will the floors and hallways be marble? Maybe the state of Illinois has commissioned a giant hand-carved statue in the likeness of Obama’s repulsive face for the entryway of the new facility. There’s really no telling.

Of course, the mainstream media hasn’t reported on Obama’s expensive new library. Don’t hold your breath for that report to come, either. If we hear anything, you can bet it will be about what amazing opportunities the library will bring to the community. Expect the $100 million figure to be left out completely.

It seems as though if there’s one thing the President loves more than spending your tax dollars frivolously, it’s having money spent frivolously in his name.

The only redeeming aspect of this story is that there is at least one politician out there who isn’t afraid to tell it like it is. In a day and age where the Obama Administration goes to great lengths to silence the press and alienate journalists who do anything but sing his praises, Fred Thompson deserves a pat on the back for keeping it real.

Let us know how you feel about this newest report of exorbitant amounts of tax dollars being spent while debt is mounting. Sound off in the comments section!
