This video of entertainer Michael Davis performing for President Reagan is a classic and will take you back a few decades. Reagan and his guests can be seen enjoying the show and laughing hysterically at the comedian’s humor and you will definitely laugh as well.

Davis made a few well-timed political jokes that were appropriate for the audience and kept everyone in good spirits.

As he introduced an impressive juggling trick which included three sharp objects, he announced to the crowded room full of politicians, “I’m going to attempt to juggle these razor sharp implements simply to amuse the people in the back; namely, the Democrats.”

Adding to the joke, he quipped, “I don’t know if we should talk about tax cuts now…”

Moments later, Davis hinted at another pressing political issue of the time, saying, “Right now I have a very difficult, dangerous trick that I haven’t yet mastered – disarmament.”

In a moment where the comedian required the assistance of an audience member, former Senator Baker was called on to verify that an object Davis was using was authentic. Seated just feet away from Reagan, Baker proved to be more trouble than he was worth, which prompted the response from Davis, “This is what’s called diminished federal assistance.”

After holding Seanator Baker’s hand through the awkward moment, Davis joked, “We gotta get something done around here!”. A comment that would better apply to politicians in Washington today.

Whether you’re a fan of Reagan or not, the nine minute clip is totally worth the time that it takes to watch. In any case, it’s hard to find good, clean comedy these days, and for that much, this video can be appreciated. Give it a view and let us know what you thought in the comments section!
