Al Qaeda Gathers For Most Massive Protest In Years

Obama’s latest narrative regarding the terrorist group known as Al Qaeda has been that they’ve been “decimated,” “defeated,” “on the run,” and everything else he could say to get us to believe that they’re no longer a threat. He’s been saying this for years and most of us know it to not be true, and a recent video that’s surfaced of the group has proven our suspicions.

Having been posted to jihadist websites around the world, the video shows the group amassing in its greatest numbers since before the death of bin Laden, and it’s in broad daylight. What’s especially unsettling about it is that the CIA either didn’t know about it or they couldn’t get a drone there fast enough to take them out, either way it shows us that they’re on the rise and emboldened by the lack of leadership in our nation.

According to CNN, the front man for the organization known as the crown prince, Nasir al-Wuhayshi, is shown in the video out in the open, greeting his followers in Yemen and unconcerned that he could possibly be hit by a drone.

Al-Wuhayshi is al Qaeda’s No. 2 leader across the globe and the head of the group’s most dangerous sect in the Arabian Peninsula, and he made it very clear in the video that he intends to attack the United States.

“We must eliminate the cross. … The bearer of the cross is America!“ the leader told the group.

According to CNN’s national security analyst, Peter Bergen, the video gives the United States just cause to be concerned about the group.

He said that “The U.S. intelligence community should be surprised that such a large group of al Qaeda assembled together, including the leadership, and somehow they didn’t notice. The main problem about this group is that it has a bomb maker who can put bombs on to planes that can’t be detected.”

It’s alleged that the man who’s capable of creating such explosives, Ibrahim al-Asiri, is responsible for several attempts in the U.S., one of which was the Christmas Day underwear attack that was a failure back in 2009.

Paul Cruickshank, a terrorism analyst for CNN, summarized the video and what al-Wuhayshi had to say about the group and where it’s headed.

“His [al-Wuhayshi] message to the United States was very much the same as [former al Qaeda leader Osama] bin Laden’s: ‘We’re coming after you.’”

Meanwhile Obama continues to tell us that the group has been brought to its knees by his ant-terrorism campaign and that they’re “on the run.” The question that remains is why the U.S. government didn’t know about the meeting and if it did, why didn’t they do anything about it? Part of defeating the group is not allowing them to think that they can convene in broad daylight without there being a danger of an airstrike.

Rep. Mike Rogers, chairman of the House Intelligence Committee, explained it perfectly;

“We think that they’re feeling empowered. The less pressure you put on them, the more they take that as a victory, the more that they believe that they can get away with plotting, planning, organizing as you saw there (in the video), finance, training.

“All of the things that they would need to do to strike a Western target, they’re going through that process.”

Looks like they’re not on the run after all, Mr. President.
