A Chicago man was arrested for pulling out a machine gun once he learned he had to pay a $.22 tax on a diet Pepsi he wanted to buy.

Nahshon X. Shelton didn’t seem to be too happy aobut the tax, which may be rather high for a $1.79 soda but doesn’t exactly warrant pulling out a submachine gun on the clerk who’s trying to sell it to you, does it?

Apparently he tried to purchase the soda and when he was presented with the tax he became enraged and said that because he’s a resident of the area he should be “tax exempt.”

He left the store right after, then returned with a Gucci satchel and brandished a loaded gun. He then began waving the gun around “while yelling that he was going to shoot and kill everyone in the store,” according to court records.

“I’m going to shoot you in the head three times!” Shelton said.

According to police the gun that he had, an Intratec .22 caliber submachine gun, was loaded when they arrived and arrested him.
