Democratic opponents have recently become overjoyed after discovering a video of a GOP gubernatorial candidate from over four years ago.  The video was created amongst the peak of concerns over Barack Obama’s birth certificate where he mentioned his belief that the President wasn’t an American.

Back in 2010, GOP candidate Bob Beauprez phoned in for an interview for The Talk to Solomon Show.  During that time, the two discussed things such as Obama’s abysmal disapproval ratings before the conversation switched over to the birth certificate.

After being asked about the definitive shroud placed around the alleged document, Beauprez stated, “On the birth certificate, I don’t know.”  He continued by adding, “I’ve heard both sides of it. I find it absolutely astounding that, if he has one, if this is all just a myth, why in the world not put it to bed?”

He eventually went on to mention the valid point that, “There’s a reason why they haven’t at least settled that controversy.” This is where the conversation takes the dive that may just put the nails in the coffin of his run for Governor.

Taking the conversation to speculative levels, Beauprez notes, “If this guy is an American citizen, he’s a different kind of American than virtually any that I know.”  Explaining his point a little deeper, he adds, “My dad and mother taught me a long time ago that you’re known by the company you keep. We should have figured out a lot, and some of us did. When this guy’s friends are Bill Ayers, Bernadine Dohrn, Rev. Jeremiah Wright — his mentor, again, is Saul Alinsky — what do you think you’re going to get?”

Beauprez also stated that Obama was originally, “from a different place,” which caused him to, “act and think different than any American.” Of course, as the arguments have been laid forward the current administration has taken the ol’ tin foil hat brigade approach.

Brushing off concerns and regarding to them as the deluded ramblings of attention whores is the only way that Obama and his administration has sought to fend off any opposition.  Instead of answering the real questions that have been raised regarding the authenticity of the document, the government, yet again, has taken to sweeping scandals under the rug.

What do you think though – is this enough to put an end to someone’s run for governor or is this a legitimate concern that needs addressing? Let us know your opinion in a comment below.
